Our little piece of paradise is a great getaway for a short holiday, or a perfect place to spend a lifetime. We’ll try to tell you how wonderful Siesta Key is…but truthfully, it’ll be
much better if you visit and discover it for yourself.
What will you find when you get here? Sunny beaches with crystal-white, powdery sand that stretch for miles. Shops from the chic and elegant to the hip and funky, with all sorts of fashion, beach accessories and souvenirs.
Restaurants where you can go to grab a quick breakfast or lunch in your flip-flops and sandy toes, or to relax in style over an extraordinary dinner.
We are just minutes from some of the area’s finest restaurants and shopping, golf courses, arts and entertainment, museums and recreation areas. Sarasota cultural offerings include not only the performing arts, but numerous private galleries and Ringling Museum of Art featuring the old masters and contemporary artists.

Siesta Key was a sleepy, virtually uninhabited barrier island off the coast of Sarasota until early in the 20th century. In fact, the island wasn’t even called Siesta Key then. It was variously known as Clam Island, Little Sarasota Island, or Sarasota Key and was hardly a tourist destination. A few area families had built beach homes on the island and a handful of particularly hardy individuals even lived here year ‘round. READ MORE>>

Ocean Boulevard, which runs through Siesta Village, Siesta Key’s funky, laid-back beach hangout, is virtually lined with restaurants and pubs.
