Siesta Key -

Our little piece of paradise is a great getaway for a short holiday, or a perfect place to spend a lifetime. We’ll try to tell you how wonderful Siesta Key is…but truthfully, it’ll be
much better if you visit and discover it for yourself.

What will you find when you get here? Sunny beaches with crystal-white, powdery sand that stretch for miles. Shops from the chic and elegant to the hip and funky, with all sorts of fashion, beach accessories and souvenirs.

Restaurants where you can go to grab a quick breakfast or lunch in your flip-flops and sandy toes, or to relax in style over an extraordinary dinner.

We are just minutes from some of the area’s finest restaurants and shopping, golf courses, arts and entertainment, museums and recreation areas. Sarasota cultural offerings include not only the performing arts, but numerous private galleries and Ringling Museum of Art featuring the old masters and contemporary artists.

Siesta Key was a sleepy, virtually uninhabited barrier island off the coast of Sarasota until early in the 20th century. In fact, the island wasn’t even called Siesta Key then. It was variously known as Clam Island, Little Sarasota Island, or Sarasota Key and was hardly a tourist destination. A few area families had built beach homes on the island and a handful of particularly hardy individuals even lived here year ‘round.  READ MORE>>

The live beach cam looks over Siesta Key Beach and is one of our most popular webcams. It’s great for seeing how crowded the beach is or if conditions are good for a swim. You can also check the wind before sailing or even view the fireworks on the 4th of July.  SEE MORE>>

Ocean Boulevard, which runs through Siesta Village, Siesta Key’s funky, laid-back beach hangout, is virtually lined with restaurants and pubs. Most have outdoor seating and bars, which attract the beach crowd during the day. At night, rock-and-roll bands draw teenagers and college students to this lively scene.  READ MORE>>

With one of the liveliest bar scenes in town –  mostly packed into Siesta Village — Siesta key is a destination for both locals and tourists. That mix can be quite entertaining, with some of the best people watching in town. You’re likely to see bathing suits as club wear, even late into the night, at some Siesta key bars.  READ MORE>>

Siesta Key Condo purchases are excellent options for both second home buyers and investors. Condos are typically less maintenance and provide income to offset most costs. Click to read about some items to think about when starting your search for your condo..  READ MORE>>
